Mezzo-soprano Laura Federici is a versatile singer, equally at home on the operatic, orchestral and musical theater stages.  The past season’s calendar has been an interesting combination of Mozart and 20th and 21st century composition, and she has enjoyed inspired, successful performances throughout the year.

Mozart roles recently performed include Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Annio in La Clemenza di Tito, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Marcellina in Figaro.  Branching out into contemporary repertoire, she was honored to be a guest soloist in Tony and Grammy Award winner composer Marvin Hamlisch’s master class and sang a series of short operas in her debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall.

Other roles include Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Charlotte in Werther, Mercedes in Carmen, Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Cuniza in Verdi’s Oberto, Maddalena in Rigoletto and Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus
